Speed Tuning Tips for your Mini Rocket

First and foremost, you must effectively
eliminate the governor. Our Mighty Mini
Governor Bypass kit is a MUST. Adding
taller gearing to a sled with an
operational governor is a waste of time.
The engine must be able to run at full
capacity.
>>
When the governor has been properly
bypassed, begin modifying the gear ratio
by adding smaller bottom gears. The size
of the gear will ultimately be
determined by rider weight and riding
conditions. Gears are cheap; buy extra
and experiment!
>>
To fine-tune your machine, spend time
reducing rolling resistance in the
track, skid frame and driveline. Make
sure the rear suspension is sucked up as
far as possible, run the track
"droopy-loose" and do anything
you can to reduce the energy required to
roll the track. Our rear wheel kits are
a MUST! The fastest 120s are those that
roll freely.
